Abstract
The article examines the processes of managementand leadership in medical colleges, which are based on general principles of management activity for the effective training of specialists for the health care system. It has been proven that professional pre-higher education is focused on the development of a certain educational qualification, which forms a person’s ability to perform specialized tasks in a certain field of professional activity. It has been revealed that the essence of the concept of «management» is considered through the prism of «influence», «interaction» and «targeted organizational activity»definitions. Among the most common management approaches there are operational, systemic, social-psychological and competence-based ones. In the research process, it has been proved that the concept of «management» is broader in scope and content than the concept of «leadership», which is not only a component of the management system, but also reflects a characteristic, constant, stable relationship between executives and managers. It has been found that in the process of socio[1]pedagogical systems managing (including institutions of vocational pre-higher education), there is an interaction («person - person»), during which subject-to-subject relations are established. Management subjects in an educational institution make up the controlling and controlled subsystems. Management bodies in the field of vocational pre-higher education perform their functions within the limits of their powers at different levels. An important task of the educational process of vocational colleges is the creation of a management mechanism that ensures high quality of education. Taking into account the scientific vision of the research problem, the author’s presentedthe interpretation of the concept of «management of the educational process of a specialized medical college» as a multifunctional type of activity, which involves active, consistent interaction from planning to monitoring education in a complex and open in time socio-pedagogical subject-sub project system in order to increase the efficiency of training of future medical workers, while taking into account the current external and internal factors. An analysis of statistical data on the functioning of vocational higher education institutions, the number of students in vocational colleges, and the number of secondary medical personnel working in health care institutions was carried out
